Elizabeth Osborn-Kibbe is originally from Rochester, NY and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and History from the University at Buffalo, where she studied Modern, Ballet, Jazz, and Tap dance forms as well as twentieth century American political and cultural history. Liz has toured extensively throughout North America as both a performer and IATSE union stagehand with Vee Corporation, producers of Sesame Street Live. She is primarily a modern dancer who has studied with Bill Evans, The Limon Dance Company, and Ballet Hispanico among others; and has performed with Mariah Maloney Dance and Park Avenue Dance Company. She has worked administratively with the American Dance Festival and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. Liz has Stage Managed professionally for the Bill Evans Dance Company, Futurpointe Dance, Project Bandaloop, and other dance companies, festivals and shows.

Liz earned a Master of Fine Arts in dance performance and choreography from the College at Brockport SUNY, where she researched the politics of site-specific performance, and the historiography of postmodern dance, the Judson Dance Theater, and the work of Yvonne Rainer. She has presented her written and choreographic research at conferences such as the Northeast Popular Culture Association, the Popular Culture Association and American Culture Association national conference, and the National Dance Education Organization conferences. Her choreographic works are created collaboratively with the dancers and explore the intersection of contemporary modern dance and a postmodern pedestrian movement vocabulary.

She joins the dance faculty at the University of Georgia from Pennsylvania State University where she taught Modern Dance, Dance History, Dance Improvisation, and Dance Appreciation. Liz currently teaches Dance Appreciation, Tap Dance Foundations and Contemporary Dance Foundations, and Co-Directs the Spring Dance Concert. She is also the Recruitment Coordinator and Dance Minor Advisor.
