Ballroom Magic 2020

The UGA Ballroom Performance Group presents their 29th annual showcase on January 23-24 at 8:00 p.m. and January 25 at 2:00 and 8:00 p.m.  The concert will be held in the New Dance Theatre at the Dance Building on Green Street off of Sanford Drive. In addition to the Ballroom Performance Group, there will be guest performances by Athens and Atlanta based dancers. With numerous performances split between two acts, they'll be bringing the Magic. Get ready to encounter everything from Pink Ladies, pirates, and a couple of punk kids!

Ballet Day @ UGA

Ballet dancers age 12 and up are invited to join us for a day of free ballet classes and an information session. Dancers from schools, studios and the community are welcome. Please complete the registration form below by November 10th.

Department of Dance Performance Sampler

UGA dance students will perform a variety of dance styles in classical and contemporary ballet, contemporary modern, and aerial dance with mixed media featuring faculty created choreographic works by CORE Contemporary and Aerial Dance and Spring Dance Concert.  This will showcase a sample of works to be presented in the Spring 2020 Department of Dance concert productions.  Part of the Spotlight on the Arts 2019 Festival, free admission.

Spring Dance Concert REPERTORY Movement Refracted offers an array of movement and choreographic styles. Based in the essential qualities of human movement and the range of human emotions, this choreographic collage offers a wide variety of dance styles, aesthetics and sensibilities, nurturing students as complete performing artists with moving minds and thinking bodies.
