Spring Dance Concert REPERTORY Movement Refracted offers an array of movement and choreographic styles. Based in the essential qualities of human movement and the range of human emotions, this choreographic collage offers a wide variety of dance styles, aesthetics and sensibilities, nurturing students as complete performing artists with moving minds and thinking bodies.

UGA Dance Day

UGA DANCE DAY offers high school dance students an opportunity to come to the UGA Athens Campus to dance all day.  Students will take classes with faculty and guest artists in contemporary dance, ballet, jazz, tap, and aerial yoga/dance trapeze, and eat lunch at the UGA Snelling Dining Hall. They will also have the opportunity to talk to UGA faculty and dance majors, and attend the evening concert by CORE Contemporary and Aerial Dance.  The classes are fr

CORE Contemporary and Aerial Dance

CORE Contemporary & Aerial Dance presents Mutual Resonance, aerial and dance vignettes that portray a variety of relationships and interactions reflecting associations found in personal, social and environmental situations. Enhanced by visual projections, the dancers will perform visually stunning movements on silks, lyra, trapeze, and bungee.

Ballroom Magic 2019

The UGA Ballroom Performance Group presents THE GREATEST SHOW on January 24-25 at 8:00 p.m. and January 26 at 2:00 and 8:00 p.m.  The concert will be held in the New Dance Theatre at the Dance Building on Green Street off of Sanford Drive. Ballroom Magic is the annual showcase of the UGA Ballroom Performance Group. They are proud to present a two act show with performances in various styles of ballroom dancing, including Waltz, Swing, Samba, and more!

Department of Dance Performance Sampler

UGA dance students will perform a variety of dance styles in classical and contemporary ballet, contemporary modern, and aerial dance with mixed media featuring faculty created choreographic works by CORE Contemporary and Aerial Dance and Spring Dance Concert.  This will showcase a sample of works to be presented in the Spring 2019 Department of Dance concert productions.  Part of the Spotlight on the Arts 2018 Festival, free admission.
