SPOTLIGHT ON THE ARTS

Spotlight on the Arts is the University of Georgia's annual celebration of the literary, visual and performing arts. Held each November, the month long festival highlights the arts and humanities on campus with dozens of events and exhibitions.

From Broad Street to Broadway

This past summer, a troupe of 11 University of Georgia dance students traveled from Broad Street to Broadway to immerse themselves in the mecca of professional dance, New York City.  Participants met with professionals and gained audition experience while touring the Big Apple.

Nika Shlomi, an Honors student in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences studying biology, psychology and dance. Recently returned from a UGA Oxford study abroad experience, she shares details about her international experience as well as how her minor in dance compliments her majors and aligns with her pre-med aspirations in this interview.
