Yeli Ensemble Dance Artist Residency inspired UGA students

Ibrahim (Ibro) Conte, and Sekouna Dioubate as the Yeli Ensemble, along with manager and dancer/musician Windship Boyd demonstrated virtuosity as musicians and dancers in their visit to UGA

The lecture demonstration provided insights into the instruments: including the kora, an instrument resembling a harp, that Sekou made himself, and just finished a day before arriving. They also introduced the krin, an instrument made of wood that was originally created for long-distance communication.
