UGA Dance Company Spring Faculty Concert

MERGENCE, the 2022 UGA Dance Company Spring Faculty Concert, will be presented by the University of Georgia Department of Dance on April 7-9 at 8 p.m. and April 10 at 2:30 p.m. in the New Dance Theatre, located in the Dance Building between Soule and Green Streets (off Sanford Drive). The performance features original works created by dance faculty and guest artists for UGA dance students.

Ballroom Magic 2022

The UGA Ballroom Performance Group presents their 30th anniversary showcase, Ballroom Magic, on January 17-18 at 8:00 p.m. and January 19 at 2:00 and 8:00 p.m.  The concert will be held in the New Dance Theatre at the Dance Building on Green Street off of Sanford Drive. In addition to the Ballroom Performance Group, there will be guest performances by BPG Alumni as well as dancers based out of Athens and Atlanta. With numerous performances split between two acts, they'll be bringing the Magic. Get ready for sequins, disco lights, and crowd favorites from their repertoire!

Stairs, Chairs & Squares

Excerpts from “Stairs, Chairs & Squares” a new work created virtually entirely on Zoom and performed by a selected group of dance majors in fall 2020 at the Performing and Visual Arts Complex quad outside the Georgia Museum of Art. Created by NYC choreographer Ellen Cornfield, this project was a collaboration between the Georgia Museum of Art, UGA’s Department of Dance and Cornfield Dance Company, and was performed in conjunction with the GMOA exhibition, “The Art of Seating: 200 Years of American Design.”
